  • NileGuide Expert Says:

    Best vegetarian restaurant in Napa.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Visit the restaurant's website from time to time to keep up on the list of what's growing in Ubuntu's garden, and you'll be up to date on the latest trendy ingredients.

    Description:

    • Ubuntu is an upscale vegetarian restaurant that garnered one Michelin star in 2011. Ingredients for Ubuntu's creative dishes are primarily grown in the restaurant's own gardens, following the principle of biodynamic farming. Biodynamic farmers place high emphasis on healing and supplying the earth with ingredients that encourage regeneration. Chef Aaron London and his team begin each morning at the gardens, and prepare dishes that bring out the natural flavors of the herbs and vegetables. Ubuntu restaurant is a manifestation of a dream to bring together many of the things that owner Sandy Lawrence enjoys in the hope that it may benefit others. Wines are both local and international, selected for sustainable growing and harvesting practices.  After dinner if you're not too full, you can take a yoga class in the studio above.
