Description:

  • For some of the best country cooking in the Nashville area, take a trip out past the city's western suburbs to this old-fashioned roadhouse and popular Nashville institution. People rave about the cooking here -- and with good reason. The country ham with red-eye gravy, Southern fried chicken, and homemade biscuits with homemade fruit jams are made just the way Granny used to make them back when the Loveless opened nearly 40 years ago. This restaurant may be a little out of the way, but it's well worth it if you like down-home cookin' -- and if you're prepared to endure a long wait to get one of the few available tables inside.
