Miles of retail sales, not to mention live music during special events, await customers at Nashville's premier shopping mall, a vast extravaganza of department stores, specialty boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment venues that's laid out in an oval, racetrack formation. At this mall, you can try your hand at rock climbing, see a first-run movie, or visit the IMAX 3-D Theatre, and top it all off with a chocolate soda at Ghirardelli's old-time ice cream parlor. Among Opry Mill's 200 tenants are anchors Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Barnes & Noble, Apple Barn Cider Bar and General Store, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, Old Navy, and Rainforest Cafe. If you want to shop 'til you drop, this is the place to do it.
For bargains on everything from Bibles to fine crystal, look no farther than this mammoth "shoppertainment" venue in the Music Valley. Among the dozens of factory-outlet stores here are those by such well-known apparel retailers as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Gap, Guess, Levi's, and Tommy Hilfiger. Bargain shoes and handbags can be found at Dexter, Etienne Aigner, G.H. Bass, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, Reebok, and Nike. The mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9:30pm, and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
