During the day people stroll the many paths, enjoy afternoon picnics on the riverbank, and ride the "Foxtrot" carousel. During the summer, the park hosts concerts and festivals, including the free Thursday night concert series 'Dancing in the District' and the annual three-day music festival in May called "River Stages".
