Bacardi/Gamblin Snipe Championships

Description:

  • The Snipe is a 15 and 1/2-foot, two-person racing dinghy. Designed by William Crosby in 1931, the snipe has become one of the most popular racing dinghies in the world. The Snipe Winter Circuit begins in Clearwater Florida, travels down to Miami and concludes in Nassau. Since the sailors are already gathered, they also participate in two other contested races: The Bacardi Cup Series, a three-race event, and the Dudley Gamblin Cup, five-race event. The Snipe Class has some very exciting competition, but is also famous for the parties held at the end of the regattas.
