South Delhi: New Delhi

South Delhi is the modern face of Delhi, the trend-setting hub of chic lounges, ritzy restaurants and stylish shopping. Yet, in a strange conundrum of Delhi's layered history, hidden behind the glitzy facades lie Delhi's monuments, the remains of the six consecutive cities that came before Old Delhi. Flanking South Delhi's wide, clean roads are crumbling castle walls and old tombs, domes and minarets that trace the city's millenniums old past.
