Nehru Memorial Museum

Nehru Memorial Museum - New Delhi

  • Description:

    • This museum was the residence of India's first ever Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru. It was later converted into a museum - the rooms and the decor are untouched since Nehru's death in 1964. Find out more about independent India's history and about one of its founder through rare photos, and newspaper clippings. A torch still burns bright symbolising Nehru's values and vision for the country, and there is a granite rock carved with the words of his historic speech at the midnight of India's Independence Day.
