Supreme Court of India Museum

Description:

  • Located in Central Delhi, the Supreme Court of India Museum is an interesting place for a serious Indophile or simply those interested in India's law and justice systems. Full of memorabilia from the past, one can actually relive how pre-independence trials were conducted during the days of the British Rule. One gallery takes you back in time to the justice system which prevailed in 3500 BC in the Indus Valley Civilization. The other gallery contains remnants from the past like a judge's chair, and even manuscripts of historical cases like the killing of Mahatma Gandhi.
