One-quarter mile from the property is the Old U.S. Mint, a Louisiana jazz museum that began in 1838 by minting currency, and has the distinction of being the only mint to have been used by both the U.S. and the Confederacy. Famous landmarks of New Orleans such as the Bourbon Street and the French Quarter are one mile or less from the property.
