Description:
- This small Middle Eastern restaurant is well known for its location in the center of the triangle of Middle Eastern eateries, and for the unique style of thick pita bread served. The only way to describe it is thick and memorable. Babylon Cafe is located near both Loyola and Tulane Universities. They offer all the usual Mediterranean dishes such as Lebanese iced tea, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, stuffed pitas and a one-of-a-kind roasted garlic sandwich. Be sure to save some room for Baklava and a cup of Turkish coffee or mint tea for dessert. This is a small cafe with one chef, one assistant and one waitress so expect slower service at peak hours. The food will more than make up for the wait!
