- Baba Blankets and Crafts is not just a store, but also a grassroots initiative that provides sustainable income to talented African women. This Uptown shop is contributing to social change by partnering with women in a Ghana studio to sell their blankets and crafts for the home to New Orleans' shoppers. Baba Blankets and Crafts is filled with duvet covers, blankets, napkins and placemats, each handcrafted from hand-dyed cotton. Additionally, patrons can purchase hand-woven baskets in a variety of colors ideal for decoration or functional use.
