The Le Monde Creole tour will also take you through the Pharmacy Museum, but if you want time to look at all the exhibits, make it a special trip.

  • Description:

    • America's first licensed pharmacist had his apothecary shop in this French Quarter Creole home. Today it is a fun, affordable museum that gives visitors an idea of what healthcare was like in the early 1800s. The Pharmacy Museum has jars of leeches, surgical instruments that look more like torture devices, and a back courtyard with herbs used for healing. Not only is the Pharmacy Museum a beautiful, historic building, it is a fun and informative little exhibit that will make you appreciate modern medicine!
