Visual Jazz Art Gallery - New Orleans

  • Description:

    • This gallery was established by local African-American artist and muralist Richard C. Thomas. In the corner of an abandoned bank, he created a neighborhood art school: "Pieces of Power." Thomas is today considered one of the most influential artists in New Orleans and his visual jazz gallery is just as intriguing as its owner. The gallery plays host to contemporary works of art by various budding artists. The paintings on display are usually depictions of the local life ; all bursting with vibrant colours. You will also find limited edition paintings by Thomas and his students on display here.
