NileGuide Expert Says:
Choose the "bath butler" service if you want your soaking experience to be perfumed with rose petals...or made more fun with rubber duckies.
Description:
Perfect on almost every level, the only drawback to this Ritz-Carlton is that it's so far downtown. But the location, on the extreme southern tip of Manhattan, is also one of its strengths. Where else can you get, in most rooms anyway, magnificent views of New York Harbor from your bedroom -- complete with telescope for close-ups of Lady Liberty? And where else can you have a cocktail in your hotel bar and watch the sun set over the harbor? This modern, Art Deco-influenced high-rise differs from the English-countryside look of most Ritz-Carltons, including its sister hotel on Central Park, but that's where the differences end. You'll find the full slate of comforts and services typical of Ritz-Carlton, from Frette-dressed feather beds to the chain's signature Bath Butler, who will draw a scented bath in your own deep soaking tub. If you don't mind the location and the commute to Midtown and beyond, you won't find a more luxurious choice.
Facilities: Restaurant; lobby lounge (w/outdoor seating) for afternoon tea and cocktails; 14th-floor cocktail bar w/light dining and outdoor seating; Ritz-Carlton Club Level w/5 food presentations daily; concierge; state-of-the-art health club w/views; room service; spa treatments; technology butler and bath butler services

My friends think I'm snobbish because I like to stay at the Ritz when I travel for work. I don't care what they call me because when I get a view like this from my room, it's worth...
