Alloro - New York City

  • Description:

    • From the pasta guru behind Cacio e Pepe, this UES trattoria's serving up homestyle Italian (buffalo mozzarella, lavender-crusted swordfish steak) in a setting dramatically decked out with black chandeliers and green-lacquered floors that look straight out of Emerald City (Downtowners: click your heels three times, and repeat "there's no place like below 14th Street").

When you go to Alloro you'll be greeted by an adventurous decor and innovative culinary fare created by Chef Salvatore Corea who puts a creative spin on Italian Classics. With each season comes a new menu and special events.Located on the UES of NYC Chef Salvatore puts a creative spin on Italian classics. Gina is the "perky wife" and runs the front of the house. The adventurous decor is met by a new menu each season and loads of special Italian events. Go to Alloro is you're looking to enjoy a culinary adventure, but not if you want chicken Parmesan!
