NileGuide Expert Says:
This always busy Village restaurant is cozy and great for groups, with wonderful bread and a menu of French favorites such as steak tartare, a charcuterie platter, escargot, and yummy cheeses.
NileGuide Expert tip:
Blue Ribbon Bakery offers an all-American surprise: old-fashioned root beer floats!
Description:
- In the fine tradition of Blue Ribbon and Blue Ribbon Sushi and Blue Ribbon Manhattan, owners Bruce and Eric Blomberg now provide fresh croissants and classy Continental cuisine in this casual, bi-level restaurant with brick walls. Sweetbreads, caviar and other appetizers all go well with the superb home baked breads. Entrees of note include the breast of duck in raspberry sauce, grilled bass, steamed lobster and new york strip steak. The service is also impressive. Reservations are not accepted for parties of less than five people.
