Cercle Rouge - New York City

  • Description:

    • The yellow walled new entry is located at Tribeca. Elegance is set into the casual dining venue by spots of lush green plants among old movie posters and beautiful mirrors. The menu includes the ever-popular Chicken Wings and Pan Crisped Crab Cakes among the appetizers. The Raw Bar menu lists oysters, caviar, cold lobsters and shrimp cocktail. The a-la-carte menu features fish, meat and some other traditional dishes. If you can't seem to make up your mind, go ahead and select the dish of the day. A good choice of wine would introduce additional flavors and also help in balancing the meal. The cheery atmosphere along with the great food on offer makes the David Feau establishment a worth-a-visit spot.

You Don't Need to Speak French

      Good Little French Place

    • The restaurant is a little tough to find, but it was very good. There was live music, which really set a nice mood. The escargot was incredible (and still on my breath days later)....

    Message from Cercle Rouge

Merging the nostalgia of old Paris with the new sophistication of TriBeCa, Cercle Rouge is certain to please locals and visitors alike. Owner Georges Forgeois updates the classic French Brasserie of the 1950s with a fresh American feel. A favorite of many diners is a unique take on Buffalo wings, with blue cheese whipped in creme fraiche. However, those seeking traditional Parisian fare will not be disappointed by the perfect steak & fries, complemented by their own homemade sauce. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed with a decor enhanced by items obtained at Les Puces in Paris. An extensive wine list features French & American wines. The casual bar in front is perfect for sipping wine and sharing a bite to eat with friends, while the terrace is an ideal spot for people watching as the sun sets over the nearby Hudson.
