- Insieme is a relatively new Italian offering from Marco Canora, who ran the original kitchen at Tom Colicchio's standout Craft before opening his own East Village restaurant, Hearth. It's located in the Michelangelo Hotel, above Times Square, and decorated in a spare yet comfortable style. The restaurant's name, which means "together" in Italian, is a reference to its menu which features a mixture of "traditional" offerings (veal tartare, lasagne) juxtaposed with more expermiental "contemporary" cuisine.
