- Miss Mamie's Spoon Bread Too is an absolute must for some down home cooking. Checker board floors and retro seating in bright lights create a genial atmosphere. The sampler dish is a good way the explore the entrees. The fried chicken is breaded to perfection and the sides deserve careful selection. The mac & cheese is totally different from what comes in the box, and don't forget the cornbread and desserts, like cobbler, if you've saved room. Miss Mamie's is definitely not for the health conscious. Go and indulge in good grease, but be sure to exercise a little harder the next day.
