Description:
- This highly regarded West Village Austrian restaurant offers such traditional Viennese fare as Wiener Schnitzel and Strudel, but overall the presentation and many of the ingredients are both modern and original. Halibut is served with dill and cucumber, the Schnitzel comes with Cucumber Salad flavored with pumpkinseed oil, and Tafelspitz (boiled beef) features sides of creamed Spinach and Potatoes Rosti. The décor is minimal but pleasant, the waiters are both friendly and professional, and the wine list provides a good selection of interesting Austrian bottles.
