Description:

  • Connie Gretz's Secret Garden located in The Staten Island Botanical Garden is based on the French and English garden styles of the eighteenth century and has a medieval feel to it. This is the only maze garden in metropolitan New York and it is heavily inspired by the book of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The maze includes confusing pathways lined with three-foot foliage leading to a walled secret garden. On the other side of this one acre property is a 38 foot castle surrounded by a moat. This garden is a true novel experience for children as the maze challenges their young minds. In fact the garden is designed on the basis of a children's classic by the same name! Call for hours.
