- Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park's spacious picnic areas accommodate hundreds of people who visit the park daily. People of all ages also enjoy the park's oasis of blue water amid the green of the countryside. Swimming is provided in a mammoth pool that will accommodate several thousand people at one time. Mohansic Lake and Crom Pond provide excellent fishing and boating. For boating enthusiast, rowboat rentals are available in season and privately owned boats may be launched with a permit which maybe purchased at the park office.Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park offers biking, hiking, fishing, a children's playground, picnic tables and shelters, a swimming pool, boat launch, boat rental, concession area, recreation programs and winter cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling. The park is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. to dusk.
Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is located several miles north of the New Croton Reservoir off the Taconic State Parkway and south of US 202.
