This gorgeous Fifth Avenue store is fun to browse. It feels like you're shopping in the town house of a slightly offbeat, moneyed lady who doesn't think twice about throwing on a little something by Anna Sui and an outrageously wide-brimmed hat to go out shopping -- she's got the panache to pull it off. It's a super-stylish, high-ticket collection for ladies with a flair for the funky and frilly -- but sales are good, and there are always some one-of-a-kind accessories that make affordable souvenirs (and earn you one of the black-and-white-striped shopping bags, the best in town). The makeup department is always on the cutting edge and does great sample makeovers. The tearoom looks out on Fifth Avenue through Lalique windows.
