Most New Yorkers were devastated to see legendary punk-rock club CBGB close down in late 2006 -- and were all the more pained by the fact that a big-name fashion designer took over the historic Bowery location. Now that a few years have passed, the drama has subsided, and it's hard to deny that Varvatos's collections are, in fact, handsomely designed men's clothes inspired by rock 'n roll. To that end, he celebrates the space by occasionally hosting live local musicians, exhibiting signed guitars and memorabilia, and has preserved CBGB's original makeshift wallpaper of show posters and graffiti. In addition to this storefront, you'll find his sexy suits and other gear at most high-end department stores and other boutiques.
