Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park

Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park - New York City

  • Description:

    • Visit the former Gold Coast estate of the W.R. Coe family. This National Register property has over 400 acres of rolling lawns, gardens, woodlands, and nature walks. The Coes used the talents of the Olmsted Brothers of Brookline, Massachusetts, to create an English park setting. Two greenhouses have extensive collections of camellias, hibiscus, orchids and more. The gorgeous Tudor Revival residence has an exquisite interior with stained glass, decorative arts, paintings and more.

Visitors to the Planting Fields Arboretum are in for a special treat. The gardens and home are absolutely stunning. Guided tours offer a look at the formal 1920's lifestyle along with views of the fabulously manicured gardens.

Located in Oyster Bay, Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park may be accessed from Planting Fields Road.
