Description:
- Rockland Lake State Park's lake is located on a ridge of Hook Mountain above the west bank of the Hudson River. The park offers two Olympic-sized swimming pools and two kiddie pools, picnic tables and grills, a cartop boat launch and boat rentals, hiking trails with breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley, six tennis courts and two golf courses. Anglers can fish Rockland Lake for bass, perch and norlunge; walkers and joggers can use the fitness trail around the lake. Winter visitors can enjoy designated cross-country ski trails and sledding slopes. Visitors to this fabulous park enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, a nature trail, fishing, boat rental, boat launch, tennis, swimming, recreation programs, ice skating, cross-country skiing and sledding. Both golf courses offer a round of 18 holes, one with a 72 par and the other 54 par (no clubhouse). The courses also offer power carts, pro shops, club rentals and driving range.
Rockland Lake State Park is accessed by traveling US 9W, 24 miles north of New York City.
