    • The Copake Falls Area offers extensive hiking, biking and nature trails, as well as cross-country ski and snowmobile trails for winter recreation. Pit Pond is part of the recreation area offering a beach and adjacent wading pond. The pond and Bash Bish Brook are favorite places for trout fishing. Copake Falls Area also offers an iron industry museum.

      The Copake Falls Area offers a swimming beach, fishing, a museum, picnic area, a children's playground, recreation programs, deer hunting, hiking and biking trails that may be used in winter for cross-country skiing, cabins and a campground with both tent and RV sites. Snowmobiling is permitted. The park is open year round, weather and conditions permitting. Camp and cabin season begins in mid-May and runs into the month of December. Deer hunting is allowed in season and camping is extended for hunters.

      Taconic State Park - Copake Falls is located along the Massachusetts state line, east of SR 22 along County Road 344.
