Ukranian Museum - New York City

  • Description:

    • This is a small museum of crafts and other objects particular to Ukrainian culture and immigration. Most of the pieces, such as decorated Easter eggs and metal work, were handmade. It is located in an area of the city that once housed a number of Ukranian immigrants, as well as other Eastern Europeans. The East Village is now filled with students and other young people, but vestiges of the neighborhood's former life still remain in establishments such as this one.
