Williamsburg Art & Historical Center

Description:

  • Yuko Nii founded the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center in 1996 as a multifaceted, multicultural art center whose mission is to coalesce the diverse artistic communities and create a bridge between local, national, and international artists. Nii also wanted to preserve the Center's building which was the former Kings County Savings Bank Building, a New York City landmark. In addition to fine art shows, the Center has historical tours, theatrical productions, poetry and staged readings as well as fashion shows. The Center also produces an annual Arts & Ability show that displays artwork by artists with disabilities.
