- The Giants, a charter member of the National Football League, play their home games at the 77,000-seat Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey (built in 1976). The team was purchased in 1925 by football legend Tim Mara for $500, and it is still owned by the Mara family. Season tickets are sold out decades in advance, but some single game seats are available. Other teams that call Giants Stadium home are the rival New York Jets, and the soccer team the New York-New Jersey MetroStars.
