NileGuide Expert tip:
This is a hotel for the discerning adult. It is far enough away from the Falls to avoid the crowds and noise, but near enough to reach in a short walk.
Description:
- Don't let the funny milk bottle throw you off. This contemporary boutique hotel, the only boutique hotel in Niagara Falls, and for my money, the best, used to be a dairy and the owners decided to keep the iconic milk bottle. The exterior of the Sterling is deceptively bland - grey walls with red accents - but the interior is sleek, cool and sophisticated. Rooms are spacious, with polished hardwood floors, leather chairs and couches and superior beds ( king or two Queen beds) on a raised platform. Cream walls and dark trim are brightened with punches of red. The bathrooms are big and luxurious. Large walk-in showers have rain shower heads and body jets, and some have steam units that will turn the shower into a personal sauna. All rooms have fireplaces. Best of all, breakfast is delivered to your room as part of your room fee. The hotel also has a full service spa, a cozy bar, and one of the best dining rooms in the city, AG, where chef Cory Linkson serves up locally-inspired dishes, paired with the best of Niagara wines.
