Niagara Arts & Cultural Center

Niagara Arts & Cultural Center - Niagara Falls (ON)

  • Description:

    • This 200,000 square foot building, formerly Niagara Falls High School, is home to over 75 visual and performing artist's studios. Artists include craftsmen, painters, musicians, dancers, and photographers. The center also has two art galleries and two theaters. This art center is one of the largest gatherings of artists under one roof outside of New York City. The 1924 Classic Revival style building was slated for demolition in 2000 when the school relocated to a new building. Fortunately the group Save our Sites in Niagara Falls saved the building, which is now listed on the state and national historic registers. - Christine A. Smyczynski
