Niagara Power Project Visitors Center

Description:

  • Sponsored by the New York Power Authority, this spectacular visitors' center in Lewiston is located approximately 35-minutes north of Buffalo. The center features hands-on displays, a virtual tour of a generating plant and computer games involving electricity. The free-admission center, which attracts more than 150,000 visitors annually, is perched 350 feet above the Niagara Gorge for a once-in-a-lifetime view. A USD1.2 million fishing pier at the base of the center allows anglers to try their luck directly in the Niagara River. Facilities include a fish cleaning station and public restrooms.
