• Oscar and Mindy Vizcarra have been fruit farmers for quite some time; Becker Farms has been in Mindy's family since 1894. Several years ago, Oscar visited some fruit farms that operated wineries and he saw that winemaking wasn't that hard to do. Since the Vizcarras always had excess fruit, they decided to use it to make fruit wines. Especially good are their blueberry and raspberry wines, which taste almost like biting into the fruit. In addition to the winery, Becker Farms is noted for their farm market, bakery, farm tours and numerous festivals and special events held between May and December. -Christine A. Smyczynski
