- The French Riveria is a popular destination for many of the rich and famous so get your dancing shoes on and party - Nice style. Any good night out starts with an ice cream. Ok, maybe not - but it is worth checking out Glacier Fenocchio located by the Cathédrale Sainte Réparate. This ice cream parlor is famous for its unusual ice cream such as Comté de Nice (mandarin ice cream with whipped cream, pine nuts and candied mandarins), Négus (six different chocolate flavors), and Tomato & Basil. Buoyed by your sugar high head to Le Lafayette. This bar looks like something out of a Hollywood movie studio -glasses hang from has a piece of railway track above the bar, and there is a reconstruction of an underwater world complete with two divers and a boat. Le Lafayette is at 64 Rue Gioffrédo. Wayne's Bar is a fun destination if you fancy working out your vocal cords. The pub is packed at the weekends and puts on live music and karaoke. The bar is in the old town and is a popular place to hang out before hitting Nice's clubs. You can find Wayne's Bar at 15 Rue de la Préfecture. If a night on the town is not really your thing why not spend a night at the theater. The theatre de la Semeuse features classical and contemporary theatre, comedy, and children's shows. Up for a long night? Then Blue Boy Enterprise is considered one of Nice's best clubs. The club opens at 11pm (seven days a week) but there are often queues to get in before its even open. They play a range of music including disco, funk, techno and house. High Club (for the over 20s), Le Klub (popular on the gay scene), and Smarties (decorated with 70s style TV sets), are other popular options.
