Château Médiéval de Roquebrune

Description:

• The Château de Roquebrune has a splendid panorama down towards the sea. Built in 970, this medieval castle was given to the town in 1927 and has been gradually restored to provide interest for visitors on five different levels. Embellished with some pieces of period furniture, this historic site reveals the ingenious strategy displayed to foil the dangers of an invasion: labyrinths, narrow corridors, slits on the outside walls. The visits last two hours and reservations must be made from the tourist office.
