Description:

  • Shaped a bit like a boat, this temple dates back to the beginning of the 18th century which is at the decline of the Ayutthaya Period. It is far off the beaten path and the best way to reach it is by taxi. The murals are still there, however, as is a partially petrified old tree that is believed to have spiritual powers. You can ferry across the Chao Phraya River from Nonthaburi Pier and find a songtaew to Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat.
