- Nuremberg has quite the storied history and it reflects in their old city center where you can stay at the heart of what was a medieval Europe and soak up times long past. Surprisingly, hotels in the historic center are actually affordable compared to historic London or Hamburg, where exorbitant prices keep out all but the wealthiest travel. Chain hotels start to fray into the picture once you leave the more dense city center, but that isn't such a bad thing, especially if you plan on getting around by car.
