Oahu offers many museums and galleries, along with a vibrant performing arts community that's apparent throughout the island. With water temperatures averaging 78 degrees year-round, it's no wonder Oahu has an abundance of water activities, including swimming, surfing at the Banzai Pipeline, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, boarding, kayaking, scuba diving and sport fishing. Enjoy a hike up to Diamond Head Crater in the morning and golfing in the afternoon, followed by a next-day visit to Iolani Palace, Byodo-In Temple, the Honolulu Zoo or exciting and historical Chinatown. The military history of Oahu can be explored at Pearl Harbor (home to the U.S.S. Memorial), Punch Bowl, War Memorial Natatorium and the U.S. Army Museum.
