• This small winery (annual production 2,700 cases) produces Red Meritage, a proprietary blend of Cabernet and Merlot grapes. With a Wine Advocate rating of 95+ and accolades calling it a profound wine, a stop here may be worth your while. The 170 acres of the estate vineyards have three separate viticultural areas. The Oakville vineyard in the valley floor is certified organic and grows mostly Merlot grapes. The Howell Mountain and Mt. Veeder vineyards, located at altitudes of more than 1,000 feet, are primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes used in producing wines for sister labels Lakoya and Atalon.
