Description:
- This is NOT the Mondavi Winery; rather it is what used to be the Vichon Winery, acquired in 1985 by the Mondavi family and Associates. The new name was bestowed upon the winery in 1997 to reflect its production focus: all Italian varietals like sangiovese, nebbiolo, moscato bianco and barbera. The winery has a spectacular panoramic view of the Napa Valley. The grounds are nicely landscaped and tables can be reserved (includes a bottle of wine) at the popular picnic area. An on-site Italian marketplace is a fun place to browse for gifts. Tasting free.
