- Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay - all these varieties are produced here. The Rudd Winery lies in the foothills of the Vaca Mountains in the heart of Oakville. Before the fruit is sent to mature down below in Chateau barrels, it is fermented in a 22,000 square feet stone structure, which rests above caves that tunnel into the hillside. You can indulge in some wine-tasting in the caves, tour the lovely vineyards and gardens, or learn about the wine-making process.
