Description:
A magnificent hotel in a 16th-century landmark convent, this is the place to cloister yourself when in Oaxaca. Several beautiful courtyards with age-old walls bring to mind the original purpose of the building. The rooms, however, do not. All are comfortable and have the conveniences you would expect in a hotel of this caliber (no small feat, given the constraints imposed by the infrastructure). Exterior rooms are equipped with noise-reducing windows. Interior rooms with views of the courtyards are more expensive. The main difference between "deluxe" and "club" is the size of the room. Service is good. The location -- between the zócalo and Santo Domingo on a pedestrian-only street -- is ideal.

Great property. Good service. Slow internet. Breakfast was delicious. We attended a great event/dinner in a fantastic hall. Great hotel to go with a corporate group or with your spouse....

My husband and I just returned from five nights at the Camino Real in Oaxaca and we loved it. We splurged for a Jr Suite because it was our 25th anniversary and we have no regrets....
