- Mako's on Church Street is a busy nightspot with DJs playing an eclectic mix of music. The waitstaff is friendly and energetic, dressed in short kilts - a reason for many to frequent this place. The music is really loud - definitely not recommended if you have a weak heart. The dance floor seems spacious when empty but evokes claustrophobia once the jiving starts. Service at the bar is slow, sometimes it's because the bartenders themselves are drunk. Visitors to Mako's always have good things to say about the DJ. If music is your thing, you shouldn't miss this place.
