International Drive/Universal Studios: Orlando

This epicenter of Orlando's tourism district features many of the trappings for which visitors come from all over the world to see, including Universal Studios, Wet n' Wild, the Orange County Convention Center, as well as a bevy of top-rated restaurants and hotels.

Universal's complex of theme parks, palatial resort-style hotels, and entertainment district called CityWalk are enough to keep you entirely amused for the scope of your trip. However, a wander down I-Drive with its flashy lights and congested roadways is sure to satisfy a need for clichéd touristy attractions like dinner shows, quirky museums such as the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, indoor skydiving at Sky Venture and Go-Kart racing at Fun Spot. A high concentration of reasonably priced hotels and cheap restaurants makes this an ideal budget-friendly locale still within driving distance of Walt Disney World.
