Description:
Few people realize that you can create a fabulous three-day vacation without ever having to leave Winter Park, the sophisticated suburb just north of downtown Orlando. Known for its brick-lined streets and chic boutiques, Winter Park also boasts a bevy of excellent restaurants, cultural corridors and relaxing things to do.
Day Note:
After you check in to your hotel, a tough decision awaits.... where to eat dinner. While there are many great restaurants a stone's throw from Park Plaza Hotel (including one right downstairs) it's worth the effort to venture off Park Avenue for this one meal at least. The Ravenous Pig, though pricey, is a great option owing to an exceptional menu that changes almost daily and a chic but charming setting.
Day Note:
Park your car because you won't need it for one second of this jam-packed day. Nosh your way through the legendary Winter Park Farmer's Market which opens at 7am. Once you've perused the yummy stalls to your satisfaction, head over to Briar Patch for a proper sit-down breakfast featuring the best pancakes on Park Ave. Your newly found zest will aid you in your quest for just the right thing in one or many of the trendy Park Ave boutiques before you travel west...read more

Sample from about 50 kinds of farmstead and artisanal cheeses from around the globe in the Fromage Cave. The Wine Room on Park Avenue has many special events, outside patio seating, small food menu, a cozy environment-and it's a local favorite. - Diane Dilov-Schultheis
