    Description:

Salt-and-pepper-shakers are the theme at this simple restaurant that scatters those collectibles around the room. Devoted to plain and simple American food (if one defines that as a rib-sticking breakfast and luncheon sandwiches) Shakers has just fifty seats and keeps the fun going among its fifty diners with a staff that's always ready for a good laugh. Hearty, inexpensive food is the focus here, and it's breakfast that the restaurant does best. A full meal, whether it is quiche, blintzes, an omelet, or banana pancakes, will keep you going for hours and are served with plenty of coffee. The prices stay reasonable. For something really American, tuck into an order of fluffy biscuits topped with thick, creamy gravy.

    Description:

Expect an imaginative menu from the most acclaimed of the Hyatt Regency's five restaurants. The Chef's Table, available Thursday through Saturday evenings (seasonally September through June), allows guests the unique experience of dining right in the kitchen (completely transformed by ambient lighting and a chic contemporary decor into an intimate and upscale private dining room). Guests are invited and encouraged to come right into the exhibition kitchen as their dinner is prepared. Chef Orlando personally brings each of the five tantalizing courses to your table. You might find roasted veal tenderloin, seared ahi tuna with black pepper, buffalo tenderloin, and red pepper-marinated duck on the menu. A personalized menu signed by the chef and a Grand Cypress apron are given to each guest at the end of the experience. Even at $95 per person (or $135 with wine pairing), this unique dining experience is well worth the splurge. Make the very-hard-to-obtain reservations for this ultrapopular experience as far in advance as possible. The Sunday brunch (Sept-June) also allows diners to try out the intimate setting of the kitchen, though most opt to sit in the main dining room.

There are three things to love about First Watch… fast and friendly service, big, personal pots of coffee, and food that you can actually feel good about eating. While the traditional favorites like pancakes and French toast definitely make their way onto many tables, so also do hearty bowls of oatmeal, slices of turkey bacon, and egg white omelets. Plus, most dishes come with a little bowl of fruit. Make sure to set aside a good ten minutes to peruse the menu… it's extensive.

    Description:

If you're in the mood for an inexpensive home-style breakfast at a typical American diner, this is the place. Popular dishes include the '1-by-4', a single egg, with bacon, sausage link and a pancake. If you're hungry, consider the '2-by-4', double the food at double the price. Omelets are light and filled with interesting ingredients; pancakes are fluffy; and the biscuits and gravy taste good. Breakfast entrees and other selections are served all day.
