Description:

  • This glass-fronted high-rise hotel seems a little out of place in downtown Otavalo. The rooms are large, clean, and well kept, although lacking in any style or personality. All come with a "minibar" selection of snacks and drinks, but without any fridge. Rooms are set around a pair of interior courtyards hung heavily with potted plants, and windows front only these interior courtyards. There's a game room with a pool table and an attached Internet cafe. The hotel's main restaurant, La Cascada de EnsueƱos (The Waterfall of Dreams), serves good Ecuadorean and international cuisine in a pleasant room with a wall of glass facing the street and an interior waterfall and garden, which gives the joint its name. Note: This place should not be confused with the Hotel el Indio, which is a slightly older sister facility closer to the bus station.
