This charming inn is a sister operation to the plush Hacienda Cusín . Just a 20-minute walk from the main downtown hustle and bustle, the hotel is housed in a 150-year old colonial hacienda in the green mountain foothills above Otavalo. Rooms are decorated with Andean crafts, and most feature working fireplaces stoked with roaring eucalyptus logs each night. The hotel offers outdoor dining on its pretty veranda. There are great views from around the grounds, which boast lush perennial gardens growing a host of tropical fruits, and a sprinkling of hammocks strung up and inviting you to take a midday siesta. Services for guests include Hawaiian massages, Spanish classes, and horseback riding.
