    • The atrium lobby and many guest rooms at Ottawa's centrally located Westin offer views over the canal toward Parliament Hill, and the hotel connects directly to both the Rideau Centre shopping complex and the Ottawa Congress Centre. Carefully furnished rooms contain oak furniture, brass lamps, and half-poster beds. The current "Heavenly" theme of the Westin chain is played to the hilt, especially on beds, which are heaped with down pillows, thick mattress covers, and clouds of comforters. Expect great dual showerheads, bath products, towels, and robes of Brazilian combed cotton in the bathrooms. Adult swimmers have the pool to themselves daily in the early-morning hours, and the fitness center is especially well outfitted with its whirlpool tub, saunas, and squash courts.
